SENIOR UX/UI DESIGNER SPORTSBOOK

The Rational Group (the “Group”), a part of Amaya Inc, is a global leader in online gaming and operates the largest and most popular poker brands in the world, including PokerStars and Full Tilt. This role is in the Group’s London service office, in the Sportsbook – Marketing Services department.

Job Purpose

As part of the Sportsbook Product team you will help create beautiful customer-centric web interfaces for betstars.uk. We work collaboratively in agile, cross-functional fashion, which we are always trying to improve. This role would suit a strong mid-weight or an already established senior UX/UI Designer looking for a new exciting challenge.

Key Responsibilities

Works closely with the Senior Manager User Experience Innovation, UX/UI specialists, and Product stakeholders to help frame UX opportunities/problems and specify UX requirements in line with the Group’s vision for the Sportsbook product
Creates compelling, simple and innovative solutions that effectively balance business goals with users’ needs
Defines UX KPIs to measure success and identify improvement opportunities
Works closely with Front-end Developers to communicate, implement, test and refine the designed experiences
Ensures that developed functionality is in-line with the designed experience
Refines and optimises experiences using data, behavioural insight and customer feedback
Ensures that designed experiences meet defined quality standards and timelines
Employing UX principles, advocates user-centred design and usability across the business
Channels team knowledge, passion and values

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

UX and Responsive UI Design experience in an e-commerce environment
Working on the projects that are connected with Mental Models, User Journey, Concept Maps
Creative, analytical, empirical, and empathetic approach to problem solving; meticulous attention to detail as well as strategic grasp of the “big picture”
Good knowledge of user-centred design principles, information and visual design best practices, including web standards and accessibility
Understanding target audiences' needs, motivations, goals and translating them into creative concepts
Experience within the following disciplines under the UX umbrella – Information Architecture, Interaction Design and Visual Design (User Research, Content Strategy and Usability Testing are desirable but not essential)
Understanding and exposure to HTML and CSS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (required to effectively convey ideas and explain rationale behind concepts/ solutions/ recommendations)
Relevant work experience is required with a strong, up to date portfolio showcasing UX and UI Design

Desirable

Previous experience in the gaming / sports betting industry
