Qualifications, Training and Experience

Essential
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Python Development experience
• 3+ years of experience of storing, managing and analysing large scale datasets
• 2+ years of designing scalable RDBMS and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra etc)
• Experience of working with large scale geospatial data
• Experience of building web-based analytics dashboards
• Experience of big data analysis tools (e.g. Spark) and techniques
• Experience of back end systems and RESTful architectures exposing API to mobile apps
• Excellence in and working proficiency of English; written and spoken

Desirable
• Experience of designing, building and running low latency, scalable, reliable and secure cloud based systems for a large number of users
• Experience of web frameworks (e.g. Django, Ruby on Rails, Backbone)
