Full-time Software Support Engineer

at Avolution in Herndon, VA

We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Support Engineer to join our team based in Herndon, Virginia. This role will be instrumental in providing best-in-class technical support directly to our customers and driving our customers’ satisfaction.

Whilst experience is preferred, we also welcome applications from recent graduates who have a depth of technical expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzing, resolving and managing customer support issues (first line support), whilst building on-going relationships with our client base.
• Assisting with the implementation of the company’s solutions with customer project teams, and in pre-sales proof of concept scenarios
• Managing software releases and installation for clients.
• Providing support for license management, as well as pre-sales, marketing and service delivery functions.
• Provide assistance with software testing and documentation.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of development environments, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Apache Subversion.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (including advanced excel skills), Windows operating systems, database management.
• Great customer service skills, with logical problem solving ability.
• Good written and verbal skills with sound command of English.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
